Even though composer Jeet Gannguli is open to composing party numbers for films, he does not use vulgar lyrics. He says, “I am against vulgar lyrics. No one should feel ashamed while listening to a song. We should also think about kids, who listen to these songs, as they catch onto lyrics quickly. Songs and lyrics should be subtle. They can be fun, but not vulgar.”
Jeet Gannguli, who recently composed a track for director Ashish R Mohan’s upcoming film Welcome 2 Karachi, says that he made sure that the song did not sound vulgar at all. “I don’t call it an item song, for me it is a dance track. It is a very peppy number sung by Shalmali Kolghade, and penned by Kausar Munir. It’s youth-centric, and is an arabic and latino mix. It is different from my past work,” says Gannguli, who has given music to films like Aashiqui 2, City Lights, Singham Returns and Youngistaan.
