The 14th edition of the Bollywood film festival opened with a great fanfare at the Lørenskog hus kino amongst the presence of eminent personalities from Norway like Mayor of Lørenskog Ragnhild Bergheim, sectary of the state Bård Folke Fredriksen, Himanshu Gulati and Indian Bureaucracy and stars from the Bollywood and Iranian Film Industry.
Amongst the highlights of this year were the presence of yesteryear Actress Zeenat Aman and upcoming actress Huma Qureshi as the guest of honour. Zeenat Aman was awarded for her lifetime contribution to Indian cinema. And her contributions to the cinematic world were also acknowledged in the form of a special stamp that was released on this occasion by the festival help from Postal Department. Huma Qureshi was awarded as the most promising upcoming Bollywood actress.
Also present at the festival was the upcoming director Mr. Azaan Khan showcasing his first film ‘Bankster’ as opening film of the festival along with the lead cast of the film. The film captured the opening screen at the festival. Azaan Khan was also awarded the Shri Vikas Mohan Award for most promising upcoming director.
