A new-look Priyanka Chopra graces the front cover of FHM this month as Priyanka admits that her own day-to-day fashion style is very low-tech. “My style is understated it really depends on my mood,” she says, “Tracks and a T-shirt is the kind of a person I am. And is what I feel comfortable in.” She admits to liking to experiment with her look in films and is currently toying with the idea of shorter hair. “I am bored of my own hair. I want to chop it off,” she states.
The Stardust and Filmfare Best Actress winner for Fashion recently praised the rest of the cast and crew for making it happen. “I owe the success of Fashion to the entire team. The credit goes to everyone. It’s not only me who has performed well. Everyone in the film has performed well. I have to thank the director Madhur Bhandarkar for having confidence in us.”
Priyanka is currently finishing off What’s Your Rashee? with Harman Baweja, in which she plays twelve different fantasy roles in Harman’s life. It’s a romantic comedy directed by Ashutosh Gowariker of Lagaan and Jodhaa Akbar fame. “It is a genre that I have always loved and I had always wanted to attempt,” he says. Based on the novel Kimball Ravenswood, it’s about a young man who must find the girl of his dreams within ten days or something terrible will happen to his family.
She also stars in Kaminey with Shahid Kapur and Portuguese actors Eric Santos and Patricia Bull. In Kaminey, Shahid plays the part of identical twins – one very straight and respectable, the other walking on the wild side. Things get very sticky for the latter when a mafia stash of coke turns up in the boot of his car. Priyanka plays a very loud and common working class girl.
