Raima Sen and Kunal Khemu headlined Arshiya Fakih Eappen’s show at the Lakme Fashion Week entitled A Doll’s Journey into Space. Raima looked glowing in a floor length body hugging white satin dress with a freeform black-and-gold vertical screen-print design. Kunal escorted her in a white satin suit with an open-necked white satin shirt. The theme of the show was carried through a sequence of H-line satin miniskirts in bold colours and screen-print pop designs. The collection was very well received by the fashion press.
Raima is the sister of Riya Sen and has appeared in a number of movies such as Parineeta, Dus, Eklavya:The Royal Guard, Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, Manorama Six Feet Under and most recently C Kkompany. She claims to be interested in making more movies in the South in future but is currently working on The Japanese Wife in Bollywood
Raima recently showed her commitment to World Handwashing Day by visiting a Delhi school and leading a lesson on basic hygiene. When each year 1.5m children under five die of diarrhoea, these are important lessons to learn. “It is not an ordinary event because thousands of children in India die due to unhygienic conditions,” confirmed Raima.
