Possibly slightly exaggerating the event, Rakhi Sawant claims that Shahid Kapoor saved her life on the set of Dil Bole Hadippa. She was standing next to a lighting rack that had not been properly fixed to the ground. Shahid suggested she move away from it. “Today I’m alive, and that is just because of Shahid,” she says, “I was about to meet with a fatal accident when he came to my rescue!”
Rakhi dismisses with disdain any talk that there was competition on the set between her and music star and actress Sherlyn Chopra. “My competition is with the biggies of the industry like Ash, Kareena and Rani Mukherjee not with this small time actress,” she explains.
Meanwhile, confusion still reigns over whether Rakhi will actually marry Elesh Parujanwala, her chosen one from the Rakhi ka Swayamwar TV series. She has publicly derided him for not being financially independent of his parents and says she doesn’t think he will be able to cope with her sexy image. Even so, the two have signed up for another reality show, Pati Patni aur Who, in which they have to behave like a normal married couple, even down to having a baby in the house. But will this work? “I’ve a migraine problem,” Rakhi confirms, “When a child cries, I get a severe headache. I don’t know how I’ll manage for a month with a stranger’s child. On top of that I have to cook on the show. I can’t cook to save my life!” Looks like Elesh will be left holding the baby!
