The grand aftermath gushing of Salman starrer Wanted is yet to die down properly but producer Boney Kapoor is already celebrating the success by planning a sequel to the South remake. Prabhu Deva is said to be coming on board once again with the same team as Boney Kapoor insisted on working with the team behind Wanted’s success.
Initially, in post-release interviews, the producer did speak of a possible sequel to Wanted and now rumour has it that the leading lady and the title have been finalised. The title is said to be Most Wanted and the leading lady is rumoured to be South actress Nayanthara.
Nayanthara is one of the leading names down South and if this rumour is true than Most Wanted will be the debut of the Southern belle into Hindi cinema. Rumours of her debut in Bollywood have forever been circulating but this is the closest confirmation of a project that has been released.
It seems that Prabhu Deva suggested fellow Southie Nayanthara when talks of the sequel took place. However, one may recall rumours that a little ‘something something’ has been going on between the director and actress. Now whether the rumour of her being the lead in the movie and the rumour of Prabhu Deva suggesting her are merely coincidences, only time will tell.
As for now Boney Kapoor has not denied nor confirmed the news of the title and the leading lady. All we know for now is that there is good chance of sequel and of course Salman and the original crew of Wanted will be coming together for it.
