Actor Shiney Ahuja will be finally be appearing before Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate as his 14 day judicial custody expires facing accusations of rape where he will be facing a 109-page charge sheet. The charges against the Woh Lamhe actor are said to be rape, wrongful confinement and threatening behavior against his maid on June 14th at his residence.
The 109-page document is also said to contain medical and forensic reports for the girl and Ahuja, as well as witness statements which include statements from the individuals who helped the maid file the initial complaint at Oshiwara police station. The police have included a statement from the victim which was recorded before the magistrate which is believed to have strengthened their case against Ahuja.
Ahuja’s lawyer Srikant Shivade has been facing rejected bail appeals by the session’s court who claimed that there was prima facie evidence to show that a serious offence had been committed.
Ahuja was arrested by the by the police on June 15th claiming that consensual intercourse did take place with the girl in question. The National Commission for Women has demanded for a speedy trial and justice for the victim.
