The 59th Filmfare Awards will be held on 24th January and our ‘exotic’ girl Priyanka Chopra will be hosting the award ceremony with Ranbir Kapoor. At a special press conference held last night in Mumbai, Piggy Chops admitted to being nervous about hosting something as grand.
The Filmfare awards this year are directing themselves towards the ‘future of Bollywood’, and reportedly Priyanka and Ranbir will be presenting the same in a fun way. Priyanka unveiled the 3D trophy at the press conference, which has been made keeping in mind the futuristic theme of the awards.
Tarun Rai, CEO of World Wide Media (WWM) was present as well and said that this year is about taking a look at the future of Bollywood, may be 10-20 years down the line.
Although Priyanka is nervous, she is equally excited at the opportunity to host the award ceremony. “A lot of people like Shah Rukh, Saif, even Ranbir have hosted the awards and they have been incredible. Not a lot of female actors have hosted before and neither have I, so I am under pressure and nervous about this but at the same time I am very excited. Ranbir and I are working hard and we will make sure this year will be as entertaining as Filmfare always is,” she stated.
