Amol Gupte’s (Taare Zameen Par) directorial debut is a movie, which is inspirational and an emotional drama about children and their tiffin box. The movie revolves around the protagonist Stanley, his school life and how he rises against all odds.
Friendship, family, school, food and a lot more elements in this movie will make you want to re-live your childhood days.
A very cool and unique thing about Stanley K Dabba is that it was made with children, not child actors. Over 1 and a half years were spent for the shooting of the film at a workshop with about 500 school-going children. Interestingly, the children were not given any script to follow; they spoke whatever they could and in whichever language they were familiar with. Amol Gupte has taken the role of their teacher.
