Having now completed her duties as Miss India Earth, Tanvi Vyas is now focussed firmly on building her movie career and Bollywood is her target. To begin with, however, she has signed up for the lead role in romantic Kollywood movie Eppadi Manasukkul Vandhai, opposite Vishwa – or How You Came Into My Heart. She was really pleased to have bagged such a role in her first movie. “I had not gone for the auditions,” she explains, “The production team was looking for a fresh face for the role of college girl. The team saw a couple of my pictures on the web. One fine day I just got a call from them and everything rolled in from there.”
Tanvi is hopeful the movie will raise her profile enough to attract interest from the north. “I do have a few offers in hand, but have not been able to meet the team in Mumbai,” she says, “Once the shooting for this film is wrapped up, I plan to meet up with the key production houses.”
Tanvi became Miss India when the original winner Harshita Saxena had to give up her title following a contract violation. However, all ended well for Harshita from Goa when she later won the Miss India International contest.
