Bollywood has come to Britain’s Got Talent and in this week’s semi-finals is the Threebee Dance Company.

Energetic dance troupe Threebee blow the judges away with their colourful performance to hit Indian tune ‘Jai Ho’, featured in Oscar-winner Slumdog Millionaire. Choreographer Shweta Aggarwal admits the film’s success inspired the group – who have been together for six years – to enter BGT. She said: “Bollywood has just grown, it felt like the right time.”

“Threebee passed the audition with flying colours and got 3 YESES from the judges! Almost all our dancers are City Workers in London (dentist, bankers, accountants, doctor, physiotherapist, consultants etc) and they work very hard every Sunday and sometimes even on week nights with me to rehearse for performances.”

Right before their performance Simon Cowell asked, “Why have you entered the show?” One of the dancers replied, “We wanted to prove that you do not have to be from a particular culture to enjoy the essence of Bollywood.” You can check out their performance here.

With a standing ovation and compliments from all three judges plus the all important three yeses, Threebee is on to the semi-finals! The semi-finals are live tomorrow night, May 31st on ITV at 7:30pm, so be sure and check them out! We wish them the best of luck!
