Vimala Raman is dumping her girl-next-door avatar in favour of a new sexy look for her upcoming movie Sevakudu with Srikanth which hit’s the floors next month. A mass-market masala movie, it’s expected to do well.
The Australian actress is feeling poignant about her movie Aptha Rakshaka with the late Vishnuvardhan, who died of a heart attack in December. It was Vishnuvardhan’s 200th movie, but the movie was troubled from the very start. Actress Soundarya, who was originally cast in the lead role died in a car accident before shooting commenced. In addition, there were rumours on set of hallucinations and strange events – Vimala, herself, suffered from a high fever for several days, and had a strange lucid dream where she was convinced someone was sleeping in the bed next to her even though she was alone.
The former Miss India Australia is currently working on Gaayam 2 with Jagapathi Babu. The crew are about to relocate to Bangkok for a month for additional filming. The movie is a sequel to Jagapathi’s mega-hit Gaayam which was made fifteen years ago, in which he plays the gangster Durga in a movie that thrilled a generation.
