Shanghai is not only a dream but a name which has been in news for quite some time for several reasons. The song ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, from the movie is one song which has been adapted as the new anthem. But as the human law speaks, “Some like it and some don’t!” In the case of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, it is a song which is a favorite amongst the majority. To an extent that people nationwide are using ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ as a quote of revolt against anything that is wrong.
A public interest litigation (PIL) was filed against the song, which is now rejected by the Delhi High Court. One can finally claim that people of India enjoy their constitutional rights. Music director/composer/singer Vishal Dadlani commented on his official Twitter account about this issue and has thanked the Delhi high Court for this noble and rational gesture.
Shanghai is releasing on the 8th of June, 2012, with complete freedom and right to expression.
