Kajol: ‘Johar is more than a brother’

With today being Raksha Bandhan, Kajol has said that filmmaker Karan Johar is closer to her than a brother.

The actress and director share a long working relationship, having collaborated together for over a decade on Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and My Name Is Khan. The star has also appeared in cameo roles for Dharma Productions in Kal Ho Naa Ho and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.

Kajol told PTI: “Karan is my friend and have always felt that connection with him. [The] Definition of a friend for me is somebody that you chose and not that you are born with.

“Karan is more than a brother. It’s a unique and fantastic friendship, which I am grateful to have in my life.”

Kajol will be seen next in the Johar produced We Are Family.
