Bipasha Basu has recently wrapped up her first Hollywood film Singularity.
The Bollywood actress confirmed the news to the media saying, “Yes, I have wrapped up work on Singularity. And now, the film is in Roland’s hands. I think he is busy with the post-production. Honestly, I’m proud to have done the movie at a time when global filmmakers are finding India exciting.”
Singularity is a love story set in the backdrop of the first Anglo-Maratha war in 18th century colonial India. The movie stars Hollywood actor Josh Hartnett who takes on the role of a British soldier, called James Stewart, who falls in love with a Maratha warrior played by Bipasha Basu. Abhay Deol and Neve Campbell also star in the movie directed by Roland Joffe who is best known for his Oscar nominated movies The Killing Fields and The Mission.
The Hollywood movie is set to release in 2012 where it will be showcased at the Cannes Film Festival.
