Eros International plc (‘Eros’), the leading global company for Indian filmed entertainment, announces the signing of several of key, global distribution deals. Eros has finalized distribution tie-ups with broadcasters and distributors in Myanmar, Japan and Romania.
The 100-film deal that Eros International signed with Family TV, the leading TV channel of Myanmar, makes it the first company to launch Bollywood films in this market and allows the channel to showcase blockbuster movies from Eros. Some of these blockbusters include Dabangg, Kambakkht Ishq, Anjaana Anjaani along with classics like Zanjeer, Mother India, Sholay, Sharabi among others.
Eros has also partnered with Atrium Productions KFT, a Local Distributor in Japan for the theatrical release of ENDHIRAN – one of the biggest Rajnikanth blockbuster and highest grosser. With this, fans of Rajnikanth in Japan will be getting a chance to watch their favourite star on big screen. Eros also plans to launch the movie on TV and Home video platform in the near future.
Additionally, Eros has become the first Indian studio to launch a series of Bollywood films in the Romanian DVD market. The 30-movie package for this geographic market will have Romanian subtitles. Among the package are blockbusters such as: Housefull, Anjaana Anjaani, Dabbang, Yuvraaj, Love Aaj Kal, Veer, OSO, Namaste London, KI, Cheeni Kum, No Problem, Devdas, Lage Raho and Munna Bhai.
