’3 Idiots’ Remake in Kannada

The blockbuster film, 3 Idiots is said to soon have a South Indian version as Gemini Film Circuit recently bought the remake rights of it.

The lead roles may have Puneet Rajkumar and Kiccha Sudeep, while Pawan Kalyan and Surya may star in the Telegu and Tamil versions.

Gemini Film Circuit previously acquired rights of Munna Bhai MBBS. It was remade by Updendra in Kannada as Uppi Dadda MBBS with Kaml Hassan in Tamil as Vasool Raja MBBS and with Chiranjeevi in Telegu as Shankar Dada MBBS.

3 Idiots, with Aamir Khan in the lead role is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel, Five Point Someone. It has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
