An underwater scene had to be shot for Talaash. Earlier the team had planned to shoot in the scene in Mumbai at Khopoli.

But the water in that lake was too murky and wouldn’t be suitable for the underwater shots for the film. Hence due to these logistic difficulties, the underwater scenes of Talaash were shot at London.

They shot at the Pinewood Underwater Stage in London. What’s interesting is that the team had to transport the Mumbai Police jeep all the way to London from India. “Yes it’s true that we called for the Mumbai Police jeep to be taken to London for few specific under water sequences to be shot with Aamir Khan.” said Reema Kagti.

As it would be difficult to find an authentic Mumbai Police jeep in London, on a foreign land, they had to especially transport it from Mumbai to London. The team wanted to keep it absolutely authentic and hence they did not opt for getting a van made there for shooting purpose.

For the underwater scenes, Aamir Khan has especially learnt how to swim as his character had a lot of underwater scenes to do. Hence for Talaash Aamir has especially learnt how to swim.
