According to sources, Manisha Koirala is in the US for further medical tests and treatment. The 42 year old actress was admitted to Jaslok Hospital in India a few days ago after reportedly falling unconscious. Her medical condition has not officially been made public, as Manisha has requested privacy from the media and from the public during this understandably difficult time for her. One source gave the following brief statement to a leading Indian newspaper: “Given her condition, she is fine and we are hopeful she will come out of it.”
Manisha recently made a comeback with Ram Gopal Varma’s Bhoot Returns. She initially debuted in Subhash Ghai’s Saudagar (1992), where she starred alongside legendary actors Dilip Kumar and Raaj Kumar. She went onto establish herself as one of the top actresses of the 1990s and is remembered for films such as 1942: A Love Story (1994), Bombay (1995), Dil Se (1998) and Khamoshi: The Musical (1996).
