Shahid and Priyanka jodi for Bhardwaj’s next

Master filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj is getting ready to start his new film this August. Though rumors have been swirling that the film will be the Romeo and Juliet story, this is not the case; in fact, the film will not be a tragedy but a happy love story.

Vishal said, “People would love to see me complete my Shakespearean trilogy after Macbeth (Maqbool) and Hamlet (Omkara). But I’m not doing Romeo & Juliet.”

For the film, Vishal has a great cast in store for us, with hero confirmed and heroine expected to say yes when she gets back from shooting her current film. The hero for the film will be Shahid Kapoor and heroine will be Priyanka Chopra. Though Priyanka has not given a formal yes, she will when she returns from filming Dostana in Miami. One report said that Vishal was so keen on signing her for the role that he flew down to Miami to pitch the story to her.
