The favourite superhero of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan recently made the kids a lot happier by launching Krrish 3 merchandise at hotel JW Marriot in Mumbai. The country’s only superhero franchise, through its retail products, promises to touch new heights in the licensing industry. Rakesh Roshan was also present giving his son/lead actor company on stage.

Krrish 3 is the latest chapter in the superhero franchise created by Rakesh, and stars Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi and Kangana Ranaut besides Hrithik Roshan. The father son duo was very excited with the new merchandise. “It is a proud moment for us and we are very excited to launch the merchandise of Krrish 3,” said Rakesh adding, “Merchandising is a crucial aspect of the film and with the launch the vast collection we hope to take Krrish 3 beyond screens into the lives of its adoring fans across ages.” Hrithik recalled how as a kid being very poor they couldn’t afford any kids. “I used to take pens and assign them characters –the good guy and the bad guy- and weave a story around them,” he said. With those imaginative characters being a source of inspiration to him, Hrithik told us how he was happy to provide the same course to other kids today adding that he was grateful to his father for providing this opportunity.

The official merchandise, in a deal facilitated by Mumbai based licensing firm Dream Theatre includes a wide range of products including action figures of Krrish, Kaal and Kaya; kids’ apparel, school supplies, impulse toys such as frisbees and Yo-Yos, skates, ride-ons and publishing which includes activity and colouring books. Additionally, there are food products (candies, confectionery, noodles), home decor items and accessories such as pendants and cufflinks. The prices of these begin from Rs 99 and go up to Rs. 3499.
