The stage is set, five Bollywood superstars are coming to London for one of the biggest Bollywood shows in Europe – it can only be Bollywood Showstoppers!
The show will be a one night spectacle on Sunday 3rd August at the London O2 arena. Five of the biggest Bollywood superstars; Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Mika Singh and Ali Zaffar are getting ready to give you an unforgettable show at this year’s Bollywood showstoppers. They have teamed up with BollyFlex, one of Europe’s leading Bollywood dance production companies to bring you all the song, dance, comedy and drama to one of the most prestigious, landmark venues in the UK. Hosted by Raj and Pablo, the night promises to be full of Bollymagic!
Artistic director Naz Choudhury and choreographer Leena Patel of BollyFlex are currently in Mumbai rehearsing with the stars. The passion and creativity is in full flow and Naz had a few words to share. “What a trip this turning out to be, the stars are exceeding all expectations and this show is going to be something that the UK and European audiences will love. They are pushing themselves to the extreme just for you guys and are bring something fresh, new and amazing to the London O2 arena stage. Not only that, I have also been working on a few surprises for the show including guest appearances, watch out for them for the 3rd of August!”
Choreographer Leena Patel from Birmingham had this to say about the current progress in Mumbai.“Bollywood showstoppers has returned bigger and better with a jam-packed, star-studded show this year. Mumbai has been great so far. Sonakshi will be burning the floor with her acts and she is so excited about her performances. She has brought so much to the rehearsal studio with her bubbly personality, her dedication and dance ability which is just phenomenal! Jacqueline is another exciting act and with Kick releasing soon, she is pumped to give Bollywood Showstoppers a performance to remember. Shahid is all geared about the show and is just as excited as we are. I must say he is just as talented as I expected, if not more! It’s been great working with these amazingly talented artists and I just can’t wait to get them all together with BollyFlex in London and on the stage at the O2 Arena.”
Shahid Kapoor will be “dhating” his way for his debut UK performance. With spectacular dance performances including songs from his recent hits R.. Rajkumar and Phata Poster Nikla Hero. You have seen him with his incredible energetic and upbeat performances in the movies and now he is ready to set the stage alight for the UK audience.
The bubbly, charismatic and effortlessly beautiful Sonakshi Sinha will be the second headline act performing jaw dropping dance performances. She’s bringing all her charm and energy from the big screen to the live stage. She will dazzle you with her smash hits such as ‘Saree Ka Fall’ and ‘Chinta Ta’ and is ready to turn on party mode where you’ll see Sonakshi in a whole new light!
Drop-dead gorgeous and stunning Jacqueline Fernandez has got party on her mind! Watch her electrify the stage performing to her smash hits including songs from her brand new blockbuster Kick. The incredibly versatile actress who is making a huge mark in the film industry will blow you away with her dynamic and sizzling live act.
Musical maestro and absolute powerhouse Mika Singh will be performing live just for you at this year’s Bollywood Showstoppers. Mika is one of the most played singers of our time and he will be lifting the roof at the o2 arena! Multi-talented rockstar and actor Ali Zaffar will be one of the first Pakistani actors to perform at the O2 arena and he’ll be bringing his charm and unique voice to entertain you all.
BollyFlex dancers Vishal Handa and Bhavin Bhatt who are also busy rehearsing in Mumbai are representing the team in London. Vishal from Manchester talks about his journey with the team, “It’s an incredible experience to be in Mumbai rehearsing with the stars. We are truly in the heart of Bollywood and are ready to bring a piece of Mumbai back to the London stage.” Bhavin from Leicester who also performed with Bipasha Basu and Mallaika Arora Khan last year says, “It’s been wonderful working with such talented artists. I’m a huge fan of Shahid as he inspired me to dance, so this has been a dream come true. Be ready UK, we are going to blow you away.”
