Vir Das, Richa Chadda and Shaad Randhawa to be in Milap Zaveri’s short film ‘Raakh’

Milap Zaveri announced his debut as a producer under the Write Direction Films banner with a short film titled Raakh today. The ensemble for the film comprises of actors who have come together for the first time and will be portraying potentially dark roles! The motion logo of the film was released today with the announcement that Raakh commences shoot on 22nd July in Mumbai. By the look of the logo it seems that the film explores a never treaded path by writer-director Milap Zaveri.

Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, Raakh boasts of a stellar cast with Vir Das, Richa Chadha and Shaad Randhawa in pivotal roles. In association with Milap’s Write Direction films and Waterlilly Films, the short film is produced by Sandeep Kewlani, Komal Kewlani, Vardhaman Choksi, and Prachi Thadhani.

Milap revealed that Raakh is a dark, powerful, emotional revenge thriller and is his experiment with this genre as a director. He further added, “I am extremely grateful to Vir Das, Richa Chadha, Shaad Randhawa and all the technicians for being a part of this wonderful project. It will be thrilling to see these actors in a dark and violent space! Also it’s my first film as a producer under “Write Direction Films” and I am excited for this new beginning”

Co- Producer of Raakh Prachi Thadhani said, “It’s been a great journey in my production career in last 10 years working for my mentors Sanjay Gupta at White Feather Films, Sajid Nadiadwala at NGE, Sunny Deol at Vijayta Films and others. Today I get an opportunity to produce my first short film under Waterlilly Films, along with my friend & Co-producer Milap Milan Zaveri.

Considering Milap’s prowess with dialogues, screenplay and direction along with the stellar star cast, we can expect Raakh to take the audiences by a storm. The film is scheduled to wrap its shoot sometime in August.
