3. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na
A R Rahman composed some fantastic songs this year and many of them were on the album for JTYJN. He only used the good notes when writing these songs, and surprised everyone with the new young sound that matched perfectly with the cast and story. Each song could stand on its own and be declared fabulous. ‘Kabhie Kabhie Aditi’ is full of spark and happiness, ‘Pappu Can’t Dance’ is full on fun, ‘Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai – Aditi’ is beautiful while the Jai version of the song is mind-blowingly good, ‘Nazrein Milana Nazrein Churana’ has a very catchy tune, the jazzy ‘Tu Bole’ (sung by Rahman) is a surprise but again fantastic, and finally Imran’s favorite ‘Kahin To’ is one of the prettiest songs that has released in 2008. Our reviewer raved about the album, giving it 4/5 stars and said, “It is refreshing, the lyrics are brilliant and some of the most beautiful voices have been chosen to accompany it. Once again, A. R. Rahman proves that he was, is and will forever remain a musical genius that delivers a knockout album each and every time!”
