“Mere paas paisa hai, bangla hai, gaadi hai, kya hai tumhaare paas? Mere pass MAA hai!” – Spoken by Ravi/Shashi Kapoor (Film: Deewar, 1975)
“I have money, house, car, What do you have?
I have MOTHER!”

A famous argument between two brothers where Mr. Bachchan is outstaged by Shashi Kapoor words; the memorable dialogue about his mother.

“Aaj is baat ka bhi yakeen ho gaya, ki hamari filmmon ki tarah hamari zindagi mein bhi end tak sab kuch theek hi ho jata hain, happies ending, aur agar theek na ho to woh ‘the end’ nahin, picture abhi baki hain mere dost, picture abhi baki hain” – Spoken by Om/ Shahrukh Khan (Film: Om Shanti Om, 2007)
“Today I have come to realize that like our movies, in our life, by the end everything gets resolved; happy ending. And if it is not resolved then it is not the end, the picture remains my friend, the picture remains”

Om didn’t get his happy ending in his previous life and this quote represents his rebirth as his story was yet to be completed.

“Don ka intezaar to baara mulko ki police kar rahi hai. Lekin Don ko pakadna muskhil he nahi, namumkin bhi hai” – Spoken by Don/Amitabh Bachchan (Film: Don, 1978)
“There are 12 countries’ police waiting for Don, but it’s not hard to catch him, it’s impossible.”

This line represented Don’s influence, confidence and his G credibility in the movie. The line has its own rapport with the movie Don, and is unforgettable, that Farhan Akhtar couldn’t resist using that line himself for his remake!

“Aaj…Aaj ek Haseen aur baant loon…Aaj ek Dua aur mang loon…Aaj ek aansoo aur pee loon…Aaj ek Zindagi aur ji loon…Aaj ek Sapna aur dekh loon…Aaj…Kya pata, Kal Ho Naa Ho!” – Spoken by Aman/Shahrukh Khan (Film: Kal Ho Naa Ho, 2003)
“Today. Share another laugh today. Say another prayer today. Cry another tear today. Live another life today. See another dream today. Today. Who knows? There may be no tomorrow!!!”

To me this line does not just represent the relationships amongst characters in Kal Ho Na Ho but makes the audience realize that sometimes we take life for granted. This famous quote is the moral behind Kal Ho Na Ho.

“Tere dil mein meri saason ko panaah mil jaaye, tere ishq mein meri jaan fanaa ho jaye.” – Spoken by Zooni/Kajol (Film: Fanaa, 2006)
“May my breath find refuge/shelter in your heart, may my life be destroyed in your love”

Amongst all the shayari dispersed throughout the film, this one has to be the most evocative. Simple and eloquent, its romance at its finest!
