2nd Global Indain Music Awards Nominees

Are you ready for the Global Indian Music Awards? Held for the first time last year, this year’s awards, to be held at the Kingdom of Dreams in Gurgaon in late September, are looking to build on the phenomenal success they had in the inaugural year. GIMA is a pioneering effort by Wizcraft International Entertainment to recognise and honour talent in Indian music across Film and Non-Film genres, to recognize Indian music transcending genres in the country, while giving the music industry a unified platform to celebrate its talent. Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. has partnered with the leaders of the Indian music industry to jointly create the most definitive platform for Indian music.

Sabbas Joseph of Wizcraft said, “In its second year, GIMA is proud to have garnered the incredible goodwill and support of the music fraternity taking the awards from strength to strength. The GIMA Advisory Board boasts some of the who’s who of the Indian music fraternity including Atul Churamani, Bhushan Kumar, Dr. L. Subramaniam, Hariharan, Javed Akhtar, Karan Johar, Kumar Taurani, Mukesh Bhatt, Prasoon Joshi, Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Resul Pookuty, Shankar Mahadevan, Shubha Mugdal, Sunil Lulla, Vijay Lazarus and Vishal Bhardwaj.

The nominees for the 2nd annual GIMA’s were recently announced and leading the film-based nominations were Anjaana-Anjaani, Band Baaja Baaraat, Dabangg, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, Rajneeti and Tees Maar Khan.

A panel of 33 members from the Indian music fraternity decided upon the nominees. As for who takes home the prize, the final winners will be voted upon by the 250 members of the GIMA academy, which include lyricists, singers, technicians, instrumentalists, music directors, music producers and film directors.
