Today, on December 9th, the wonderful Dia Mirza, who has been in the industry for more than a decade, is turning 34… so here we come with 5 reasons to love her even more!
1. She believes beauty is about kindness, humility and goodness.
Dia Mirza started modeling at a very young age before taking part in the Miss India contest. One week before her 19th birthday, in 2000, she won the title of Miss India Pacific. One year later, her first movie Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein was released and the audience couldn’t get enough of that girl with the angelic face. Yet, Dia has never forgotten what her mum taught her: Beauty is all about kindness, humility and goodness.
That’s surely the magic trick, which makes of Dia such a unique human being.
2. She supports Women empowerment.
Dia has always been pretty vocal about her point of view regarding social issues in India. She’s aware of her privileges in life and since she’s become an actor, she is always taking advantage of the fact that she is a public figure to set a good example for all the young girls out there.
3. She is a great painter.

Dia’s name itself means light in Hindi, so it’s no wonder that she found a very special way to celebrate Diwali. Every year, she sends special Diyas (candles) to her loved ones made by cancer patients members of the Cancer Patients AID Association, an NGO she’s been supporting for more than 10 years.

Dia often uses social networks like Twitter, Instagram & Facebook to share news about her work but she also uses this platform to spread happiness and shares with her fans many wonderful moments that happen in her life.
