The winners for the 60th Britannia Filmfare Awards have been announced with fresh new faces scoring big at the prestigious ceremony. Female-oriented comedy/drama Queen scooped up the most awards this year, with leading lady Kangana Ranaut deservedly winning the Best Actress Award. The film also took home the Best Director Award for Vikas Bahl, as well as Best Film, Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Best Background Score.
Shakespearean drama Haider, which has received non-stop praise upon release, took most of the acting honours, which include Best Actor for Shahid Kapoor, Best Supporting Actor for Kay Kay Menon and Best Supporting Actress for Tabu. Alia Bhatt also received recognition for her critically-acclaimed performance in Imtiaz Ali’s Highway by receiving the award for Best Actress (Critics). Sanjay Mishra also won the Best Actor (Critics) for his performance in Ankhon Dekhi, which also took home Best Film (Critics).
