Bollywood is sometimes criticised for being a family-dominated business as if this wasn’t also true of Hollywood with the Barrymores, Baldwins, Redgraves, Fondas and so on – in fact, it’s a common factor in any great industry.
Aamir Khan is continuing this tradition with the launch of his nephew Imran in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. It will be Aamir’s third production after Lagaan and Taare Zameen Par. It’s a tongue-in-cheek teen-focussed movie. British-born Genelia D’Souza, destined for great things in Bollywood, is the leading lady in the movie. Directed by Abbas Tyrewala, the movie will also feature a cameo from Aamir and another from Naseruddin Shah.
A fun trailer for the movie suggests it’s going to be good – an energetic uplifting romance with lots of zip and panache.
