Looks like Abhishek Bachchan is taking to the mike again to sing a song for one of his new films. He tweeted, “Back in the studio after 6 yrs with chuck masta sippy. Have no idea why he’s convinced that I can sing!! But pritam’s killing it!!!!”
We are guessing it is for a song for Dum Maaro Dum, because not only do we know Pritam is doing the music, DMD was directed by Rohan Sippy, who had Abhishek take the mike for ‘Right Here Right Now’ for Bluffmaster. 3 guesses when that released… yes, about 6 years ago.
Apparently, contrary to what the actor thinks, Abhishek must hit all the right notes because besides tracks for his films, he also laid down some vocals for a Wyclef Jean song titled ‘Hollywood Meets Bollywood’ in 2008. About his singing the composer of the song Aadesh Shrivastava said, “I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to record with Abhishek, who I know has a terrific singing voice.”
We can’t wait to hear this new killer tune from Abhi, Pritam and “chuck masta sippy” on Dum Maaro Dum’s OST. The suspense thriller, which also stars Bipasha Basu and Prateik Babbar hits theaters on April 22nd.
