Apoorva Lakhia must be a relieved man. He has managed to rope in Abhishek Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi for his next film titled ‘Mission Istanbul’. In fact, both the actors will be performing scenes together in this forthcoming venture.
Lakhia’s last hit Shootout at Lokhandwala also starred Abhishek and Vivek but they appeared at different intervals, Vivek’s entry being shown only after Abhishek’s character is bumped off in the film.
Suniel Shetty, the producer of Mission Istanbul rubbishes reports of the two actors having problems with each other. He says, “Why should they have a problem? Abhishek is a thorough professional. He has no problem with anybody. Yes, they do have scenes together in Mission Istanbul. And I’m sure they’ll do them splendidly. It’s very unfair to bring in personal matters to question their professionalism.” Shetty also added that neither Abhishek nor Vivek have shown any signs of hesitation about working together, dismissing it as mere speculation. Looks like the mission of casting both the actors for this film was certainly possible for Apoorva Lakhia!
Mission Istanbul, which is to be made on a budget of approximately 30 crores, also stars Bobby Deol and Shabbir Ahluwalia. Tusshar Kapoor is yet to sort out his dates and two female leads still have to be cast. The film will be shot in Turkey on a large international scale with the best of Hollywood technicians lending their expertise. Shooting commences on October 1st.
