Star in the making Ruslaan Mumtaz seems to be a bit accident prone while working on the set. The actor, who made quite an impression in his first film Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar, has all ready had two more than minor spills while filming.
Speaking of Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar, one of those accidents happened during the shoot for that film. A bicycle he was riding collapsed, he fell and landed on his face. Ruslaan said, “We had to postpone shooting for a month. My entire face was bruised. I was home-bound for a month.”
The second accident was even worse because this time he fell off a racing bike. It happened on the sets of Satish Kaushik’s Tere Sang. “It was pretty bad and I thought I’ll be permanently damaged. Fortunately I’m ok now. But my parents are worried. They’re wondering if I’ll suffer an accident during every film. I keep telling them not to get superstitious. But you know how parents are … specially moms.”
But these accidents have not made him superstitious or reconsider his career choice. “It’s quite obvious that my two accidents during my two films were just coincidences. Even if I’ve another accident during my third film I’m here to stay. Maybe I should get myself insured on the sets,” added Ruslaan.
