The 19 year old Aditya Udit Narayan, son of the talented Udit Narayan, made his TV debut on Friday night as the new host of Zee’s popular musical talent show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. The singer turned actor turned anchor has joined the successful line of hosts that previously included Sonu Nigam and Shaan. Incidentally, Udit Narayan will be part of Sony’s Indian Idol III as a judge and therefore there is a clash between father and son. Udit Narayan, however, did make it a point to drop by the SRGMP set to check up on his son’s first day at work.
Aditya made his singing debut at the age of ten when he sung along veteran singer, Asha Bhosle, in 1995’s Rangeela. He has also acted in well known movies such as Pardes and Jab Pyar Kissi Se Hota Hai. He recently completed his diploma in English Contemporary Music from London and has also been trained in classical music from Satyanarayan Mishra.
