Singer, Adnan Sami will soon be seen in a comedy role. He is being launched by Bela Sehgal, sister of Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
“Bela began her journey towards direction when Adnan was grossly overweight. She wanted to cast him in the role of a fat man that she had written specially for him. After he shed the kilos, Bela had two choices. She could either sign another overweight actor (Vinay Pathak was an option) or she could scrap the project,” says a source. Instead she presented Adnan with a fresh script, and so a movie was born!
The story will revolve around a Punjabi man’s search for a ‘kudi’ who will be able to take care of his mother.
Bela, who has previously edited her brother’s movies till now will make her directorial debut with this Adnan Sami starrer.
