The award for most ‘Underrated Actor’ over and over again has been given to Aftab Shivdasani by fans and admirers. He was a RGV debutant who wooed the ladies with Mast and later went onto impress the critics with Kasoor. However, what poor Aftab could never do is win the box office lotto! While the actor was part of some hits such as Masti and Awara Paagal Deewana, he’s yet to have a solid blockbuster he can call his own.
2011 may just be the year for the actor who has returned from a yearlong break, which he says, was an important decision as every creative person needs a break to reinvent themselves. The actor now returns with Chandrakant Singh’s (Rama Rama Kya Hai Drama) film Bin Bulaye Baarati. He’s already started shooting for the film and is very psyched about it.
The film stars Nisha Kothari and Om Puri and also features Mallika Sherawat in two item numbers for which a rocking amount has been paid out. In addition, the film is to be composer Anand Milind’s comeback as well to the musical scene. Aftab will also be seen in Double Dhamaal, sequel to Dhamaal, alongside Sanjay Dutt.
