Fox Star Studio’s latest action thriller ‘Akira’ starring Bollywood superstar Sonakshi Sinha is now in cinemas nationwide.
Akira is the story of a college girl Akira whose life spirals out of control when she becomes unwittingly involved in a crime involving a dead businessman, four corrupt police officers and a former dance bar hostess.
The film ‘Akira’ heavily showcases martial arts as well as a strong girl power theme. Akira is an inspirational character, a figure of power, and a stark reminder that women have come a long way in Bollywood.
The film has already received tremendous amounts of media coverage in anticipation for the film’s release and has even drummed up fresh interest in martial arts.
MMA professionals and academies across the UK celebrate the film’s release by welcoming new members who want to kick it like Akira! All you have to do is keep hold of your cinema ticket stub and present this at participating martial arts clubs in areas local to where the film will be shown. A full list of participating cinemas and martial arts clubs can be found below.
What better way to celebrate the film’s release than to entice the public to become real action heroes and possibly fall in love with a new hobby by learning some martial arts skills taught by reputable professionals in their own communities. As part of an innovative and exciting promotion, numerous martial arts academies across the UK will be offering free/discounted tuition and trials with the presentation of an ‘Akira’ cinema ticket stub.
The film reminds us that everyone, regardless of their age or gender, is capable of mastering this art and using it to their advantage as a form of protection, or as an exciting new found leisure pursuit.
Leading actress Sonakshi Sinha underwent rigorous martial arts training in preparation for her role.
