Akshay Kumar has said that he is okay with his film Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express at the box office on Eid. “I don’t take it as Shah Rukh vs Akshay. Two films releasing together is a positive thing. Eid is a big day and both films will do well. One should not see too much into this, said Akshay to an Indian newspaper”

There were reports that Chennai Express producers UTV attempted to strike a deal with cinemas to buy the film in order to prevent Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Again from acquiring more screenings. A similar incident was reported last year by Ajay Devgn, who accused Yash Raj Films of enticing cinemas to exclusively show Shah Rukh starrer Jab Tak Hai Jaan, as opposed to his film Son of Sardaar.

The trailer for Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again released this week to a strong positive response. Shooting for Chennai Express was wrapped up on 25 May, just before Shah Rukh had surgery this week to repair a shoulder injury.
