Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar will grace the event organized by the All India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF) on the 24th of November to administer a pledge to students to renew the fight against terrorism amongst students in Mumbai. The Event has been organised as a memorial for the fateful 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, that shook the entire world. India and especially Mumbai suffered a huge loss during the attacks that lasted over 60 hours.
The event, which has been organised by the All India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF) will bring together over 15,000 students from schools and colleges around the Mumbai area. The students will be administered the anti-terrorism pledge to mark the fifth anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. The event will begin with the students march to the venue from Tukaram Omble’s statue in South Mumbai. Five years on since the events of 26/11 and the people of Mumbai are concerned that the lessons have not be learnt. The Anti-Terrorism Day event aims to raise awareness of the efforts that are being made to keep the people of India safe and to assure the younger generations that systems are in place to ensure that such tragedies do not re-occur.
AIATF Chief M S Bitta hopes that the support of popular Indian celebrities such as Akshay Kumar will help convey the commitment of the AIATF to keep India secure.
