With three superhits behind them in Namastey London, Welcome and Singh is Kinng, the two superstars of romantic comedy, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, drifted apart for a while – but they are back together again in what is already being predicted as their fourth big hit – De Dhana Dhan. The film also features Neha Dhupia and Sameera Reddy.
However, shooting was recently stalled for a couple of days as Katrina, the model for India’s new Barbie doll, caught a bout of flu. “Doctors have advised her complete rest and although she was supposed to shoot for a song, she is unable to,” said a spokesman for the movie.
Katrina has signed up to do two as movies with Imran Khan, the first of which is Sanjay Gadhvi’s Seven Days in Paris. She has already begun developing the chemistry between them during their prep classes together, joking with him about their respective heights. In heels, Katrina is taller.
Katrina has a slew of films waiting for release including New York with John Abraham and Irrfan Khan; the underwater epic Blue with Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and Lara Dutta; Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani with Ranbir Kapoor. Katrina is also working on Rajniti with Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal.
