Besides the fact that Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon and Pooja Batra are all Akshay Kumar’s ex-girlfriends, they are all accomplished in their own fields. However, more recently, the actresses have now formed a unique bond that seized to exist between the three of them: friendship. If rumors are to be believed, Shilpa and Raveena, who hadn’t spoken in 10 years, have now mended their broken bridge only to become best buds. In fact, Raveena was even invited to Shilpa’s big Diwali bash. “Of course, Shilpa had invited me. Why would she not? I attended her wedding too. Shilpa and I never had a fallout. We have been friends for a long time. She and her sister [Shamita] are very good friends with my husband [Anil Thadani] as well,” Raveena clarified. It was during the auspicious occasion of Karwa Chauth that the ladies bonded at David Dhawan’s party.
Additionally, there is Pooja Batra too who has become friends with Shilpa and Raveena. She too was invited to Shetty’s Diwali party this year. A source close to the ladies added that while they did have a sour equation in the past, they have put this behind them. “Now all three are married and happy in their respective spaces,” the source explained. And while they may have befriended one another, it is unlikely that they will rally together and “patch up” with Kumar. Shilpa chose not to invite Kumar to his wedding and in fact, the band was instructed not to play any Akshay Kumar songs during the wedding. Raveena Tandon maintains a dignified silence on her relationship with Akshay while Pooja Batra claims the following: “I had an identity before I met Akshay. I am a former Miss India. I am not his ex; he is my ex.”
