For those who know Tamil star Vishal Krishna –and this writer has known him as an affable softspoken kind bloke for years—news about his collapse at an event for transgenders at Villupuram sent shivers up the spine.
On Wednesday evening Vishal connected with Subhash K Jha to say his health is not under a cloud. “First of all it was wrongly reported it happened on stage. Secondly I am totally fine, Sir. I was mobbed by the transgenders and I hadn’t eaten anything since morning. I had to travel five hours for the transgenders’ function. When I had to leave they all gathered up crowding me. I couldn’t breathe. So much dust, so many people. I couldn’t take it.”
Significantly, this was Vishal Krishna’s second public health scare this year. In January, Vishal Krishna worried his fans by appearing extremely ill and shaken at a movie event.
Clearing the air at that time , Vishal Krishna had told this writer, “I am absolutely fine. The media just blew it out of all proportions. I had severe viral fever and doctor told me not to go for the event. But I couldn’t miss it. This was a long delayed event and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. For me the love of my fans means the world.”
Vishal Krishna is no stranger to success. He is rapidly growing into one of the more dependable star-actors of Tamil cinema.
