The most likeable duo of incredible actors Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor have contributed masterpieces together to the Indian cinema. The legendary actors went down memory lane for a sequence for their upcoming film 102 Not Out, shot at the same location in Trombay as their 1983 action-comedy, Coolie.

Director Umesh Shukla was a bit anxious to ask the veterans to travel all the way to Trombay to shoot. He thought they would ask the set to be created close by. Talking about the same, Umesh said, “I was a bit skeptical if both of them would travel so far for the shoot, but when I told them that we are shooting at Burma Shell, they got excited, saying that they have a lot of memories attached to the place as they shot for a song in Coolie there. They were more than happy to show up for the shoot, which was quite a relief for me.”

For another scene, it required some music to be played on a gramophone and the team zeroed in on the songs of Kaagaz Ke Phool (1959). The actors shot for the scene while the songs of the film played in the backdrop. Both Amitabh and Rishi started enjoying the songs so much that they let the gramophone play on not just for the duration of scenes, but till the whole album ended. The actors decided to sit back with their feet up and enjoy the evening just singing and listening to the good old songs. Soon, the entire crew joined in and a regular shoot day turned into a fun musical evening.

A Sony Pictures Releasing International Presentation and worldwide distribution- 102 Not Out is Produced by SPE Films India, Treetop Entertainment and Umesh Shukla’s Benchmark Pictures. The film releases worldwide on 4th May 2018.
