The girl with the golden touch, Andrea Jeremiah is equally at home as both an actress or a singer. She says she’d like to travel more widely and learn more about musical styles. “Though I know Western music, I would like to go abroad to understand more about its nuances,” she explains, “I have dreams of performing on an international stage. At the same time, however, I am well aware that a large amount of patience is needed for that. So I am waiting for the right time and opportunity.”
Meanwhile, Andrea’s movie career is booming with her recent success in the breathtaking Indiana Jones-style super-hit adventure Aayirathil Oruvan, which starred Karthi and Reema Sen. However, she is cautious about moving quickly in this area of her career. “I don’t have any ambition to become the numero uno actress of Tamil cinema,” she says, “All that I need is to play roles that provide enough scope for me to perform.”
Andrea has been performing all her life. At the age of 10, she was a member of the Young Stars pop group and more recently launched her own company, The Show Must Go On to promote live performance and musical artists.
