Anil Kapoor and Abhinay Deo to launch 30 new faces

Anil Kapoor, who has bought the rights of popular American TV series 24, along with the director Abhinay Deo is looking to launch new talent for the Indian version of the show. Apart from Anil Kapoor and few chosen known faces, the two mainly ant newcomers for the serial action drama.

In fact, a source informed us that Abhinay and Anil have already started auditioning new talent for the show. They are also currently scouting for locations where the Indian version of 24 will be shot. Abhinay will start principal shooting for the show early in the new year, as soon as the cast and locations are finalized.

Anil Kapoor, who has somehow crossed over to Hollywood and also played a cameo in the original American version of 24 in the last season, will be playing the iconic character of Jack Bauer, which is played by Kiefer Sutherland in the original.

Popular Indian channel Colors, owned by Viacom 18 and also known as Aapka Colors in the US and Canada, has bought the broadcasting rights for the Indian version 24 from Anil Kapoor in a deal reportedly pegged at around Rs 150 crore.

Anil Kapoor will also be seen reprising the role of Robert D’Costa aka R.D. in Race 2, which releases on 25th January 2013.
