Salman Khan, who has always been surrounded by controversies is in the news yet again. A fatwa has been issued regarding his participation in Ganesh Chaturthi, a Hindu festival dealing with idol worship which is strictly forbidden in Islam. The fatwa has been issued by a Mumbai based Mufti Manjar Hassan Khan Ashrafi Misbahi who is from Darul-Uloom Hijaziya Chishti.
A Fatwa was also issued last year by a Muslim religious organization in Lucknow for the same reason.
It seems Salman cannot stay away from controversies which occur quite often for him. In fact, he is known more for his controversies than his work. Perhaps he should get less involved with other things and pay more attention to his films.
