Following its outstanding World Premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, acclaimed producer, actor and filmmaker, Anupam Kher’s latest directorial, Tanvi The Great, celebrated a star-studded UK Premiere on 21st May at the iconic Anil Agarwal Riverside Studios in London.
The red carpet event was a grand affair, attended by the film’s ensemble cast including Anupam Kher; Boman Irani; Pallavi Joshi; debutant actress, Shubhangi Dutt; and Karan Tacker. Guests were welcomed with a champagne reception, followed by the screening and an intimate post-screening Q&A moderated by Anupam Kher himself.
The Premiere drew a host of high-profile personalities from the worlds of film, media, and business, including director of Bend It Like Backham, Gurinder Chadha; actors, Nitin Ganatra, Adeel Akhtar, Sacha Dhawan, and Preeya Kalidas; CEO of Vedanta Limited and patron of Riverside Studios, Anil Agarwal; and former Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu, among others.
Tanvi The Great tells the moving and powerful story of Tanvi Raina, a spirited young autistic girl who dreams of honouring her late father’s military legacy by reaching the Siachen Glacier—the highest battlefield on Earth. Faced with societal doubts and rejection from the Indian Army, she embarks on a journey of grit and resilience, training under a retired Major to defy expectations and chase her dream with unwavering determination.
