Boasting an all star cast, fans cannot wait to see Anurag Basu’s modern romance anthology Metro… इन दिनों (Metro…In Dino)! That all-star cast features the incredible talents of Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Anupam Kher. Recently, the release date was revealed for the bittersweet modern rom-com.
Anupam Kher wrote on social media, “Get ready for a journey through urban romance like never before! #Metro… इन दिनों in cinemas on 29th November 2024.”
Anurag Basu earlier said, “Metro…In Dino is a tale of the people and for the people! It has been a while since I am working on this one. The storyline is very fresh and relevant as I look forward to collaborating with amazing artists who bring that essence of contemporary aura with them.”
The film is reportedly a sequel to the brilliant Life in A Metro; as you might know, Pritam composed the album for Life In A Metro, and it would appear that the title of this film references the fabulous track ‘In Dino’ from that 2007 film.
Basu added, “As music plays a very important role in any film, I couldn’t be happier to be collaborating with my dear friend Pritam, who has literally added life to the characters and story with his work.”
A cool Anupam Kher fact, he sings on the OST, Revealing and revelling, the esteemed actor wrote on Instagram, “All dreams come true: Never in my wildest dreams had I imagined that I would get an opportunity to record a song for an @anuragbasuofficial film #MetroInDino under the music direction of @ipritamofficial. But I believe ‘anything can happen’. I am over the moon. #PritamDa and #AnuragDa are geniuses in their field. It was a matter of pride for me to sing for them!”
Bhushan Kumar, Chairman & Managing Director, T-Series, said when the film was announced, “Stitching a story out of parallel lives together in a film with a contemporary twist, none better than dada could helm this ship. We are elated to join hands with him yet again for Metro… इन दिनों. While he brings about the magic with gripping story, Pritam will be adding his charm with the music enhancing the experience entirely. We are surely looking out for this one.”
