Forthcoming thriller, Daddy, is based on the life of infamous gangster turned politician Arun Gawli, who ruled Mumbai in the late 80’s and 90’s. It stars Arjun Rampal who has gone so completely in the character you don’t even recognize him.

The noir film, is much like Narcos, a show based on the life of drug king Pablo Escobar, which received an incredible fan following in India when it was released a few years ago. The story showcased Escobar’s rise from being an ordinary dealer to the biggest drug mafia in South America. Indian director Ashim Ahluwalia and actor Arjun Rampal now present their own version.
