The friendship of Munnabhai and Circuit is already legend in the Hindi film history, but it’s not just a reel friendship – Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi have become friends in real life too.
“Sanjay and me are great friends,” says Arshad. “And after our bonding in films like Munnabhai, we have cemented on a different tangent. I really miss working with Baba. At the same time I am aware that there are many filmmakers who are smitten by the casting combination of us and would like to feature us together. But, honestly I surely miss working with Baba.”
Well, it might take some months but the two pals are surely to meet on the sets again soon. Indra Kumar has signed both actors for his Dhamaal sequel, and part 3 of the Munnabhai series is about to go on floors in April 2011. Raju Hirani needs this time to write a completely new story after having dropped his idea of letting Munnabhai and Arshad travel to the USA as the story was too similar to Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan. So we certainly will not get “Munnabhai Chale Amerika” but another Munnabhai story which will unite Munna and Circuit again.
