Deepak Chaudhary, Founder and Director of Event Capital
“India today celebrates over 20 music festivals in the electronic and Indie music space, and Bollywood music acts are now a regular feature in these festivals. That got us thinking, and we questioned about why does Bollywood not have a festival of its own? When 67% of music streams across streaming platforms is Bollywood, and Ticketmaster data worldwide shows us that Bollywood concerts are top sellers from Wembley to Vancouver, we felt that it was a need gap that has to be filled. When TM Talent Management approached us with the idea, we saw merit through our scale lens and decided this is the next big thing in Music: Bollywood presented in a festival format in an alternative and experimental culture. Moreover, it makes great concept and business sense for us as a part of our core business of live event IPs.”
Tarsame Mittal, Founder, TM Talent Management
“Music is the DNA of TM Talent Management. We breathe music and believe that Bollywood Music is the most popular genre in India. It has equal following around the globe as well. With BMP, we wish to present a unique live musical experience with Bollywood Music. We are fortunate to have a great support in this maiden venture from artists like Rekha Ji, Hariharan,Sajid Wajid and Sunny MR who is our core advisory and are working very closely on the project.”

“This festival is special because singers have an advantage to sing for different artists/bands for the same festival since this festival features most Bollywood composers on the same platform. It is the biggest Bollywood festival and the first one and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
“Being a part of the Bollywood Music Project is quite an experience. The line-up of the festival is magnificent. It’s an interesting concept where in our commercial Bollywood Music is being showcased with an experimental twist. Since our childhood we have been surrounded and exposed to various genres of music which have been a great influence in our work and life. Moreover, we believe that music one of the many things that should be celebrated, because the more it is celebrated the more it brings people together. And there can be no better way but to celebrate it with colleagues from the industry and above all our fans and listeners who have loved us for our work and our music. And, being on the advisory panel has been a lot of fun.”

BMP VoiceHunt – Hunting for the opening voice of Arijit Singh & Rekha Bhardwaj
The BMP Voice Hunt is a platform for aspiring singers to showcase their talent to the best in the industry, and get recognized at a national level. Starting from the second week of August, the talent hunt for singers will scout for the opening voice for the headlining acts. Two winners (mainline and alternative) will get to perform at the BMP.
Aspirants for the talent hunt can submit their video entries online through the contest microsite. The entries will be evaluated by the advisory panel, and 20 shortlisted aspirants each will be called for a live audition in 4 cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Bangalore. The winner will be selected by the panel based only on the online entries.
BMP Master Class
BMP Master Class will provide fans with an exclusive peek into the lives and thoughts of some of the prominent names in the Bollywood music industry. The Master Class series, featuring the artists, will be released as video and/or audio podcasts periodically as a run-up to the festival, and will feature these artistes sharing tips about music composition and several answers to questions that fans have been asking.
BMP pre-bashes will offer fans an unforgettable experience through a unique pre-bash with their favourite Bollywood artist in their experimental avatar as a build-up to the main festival.
It is key for us to pre-warn our audiences about the variety of genres chosen. Afternoon will see a high energy hour on the alternative stage where electronic notes will be heard, merged with live percussions. The sundown vibe at the main stage will force you to sit on the green grass and sip through while slow bobbing your head to the fusion.
What you will see is a retro psychedelic experience of Bollywood. The art form established is through a myriad of colours amalgamating to capture your dance senses. Throughout the festival you will see unique vantage points, experiential, interactive installations, street flea pop-ups and a multi-genre happy vibe that will engage the audiences.
